Sweet 'N Salty

This was our creation on Sunday. We really wanted treats and had absolutely nothing to work with, so Stephen's creative juices started to flow.

Stephen LOVES s'mores and it only makes sense that that was his inspiration. First he wanted to start out with Ritz crackers, but they were old and stale, so we used Saltines. We figured that we would get both our sweet and salty fixes.

We melted marshmallows and stuck them between two Saltines. With our bajillion Hershey kisses, we tried to create a chocolate covered saltine marshmallow...yeah that didn't work. My train of thought led to a homemade double boiler that just ended up being chocolate kisses in a whole bunch of water.

In a last ditch effort I put the kisses in the microwave...they ended up looking like...well I can't really describe it. Just check out the pictures.

P.S. They were really gross...we tried.

P.S.S. Stephen and I played Mastermind last night. We BOTH guessed our combinations on the second try. We didn't even cheat. I know, it was luck. But at least both of us were lucky.
