I feel quite sheepish even writing this down.
I have this awesome sloppy joe recipe. I love it. The last ingredient that it calls for is corn starch. I reached up to grab the corn starch and then added the allotted 1 teaspoon.
As I put the box away, I noticed my concoction start to bubble.
My sloppy joes have never bubbled.
I realized my mistake.
I had added baking soda in the place of the corn starch.
Ugh.
That stuff tasted disgusting.
We choked it down and threw the rest away.
Gross.
