Growing Maycee

A week and a half ago we took Maycee in for her 4 month check-up. We found out shocking things.

Maycee is now 13lbs and 6oz. In the 50th-75th percentile for weight.

Maycee is 25 1/2 inches long. SHE IS IN THE 75TH-90TH PERCENTILE FOR HEIGHT! That is all Stephen.

Maycee will be taller than me. I know it.

Stephen, the Graduate

WE ARE DONE WITH SCHOOL!

I am so proud of Stephen. He has been working full time and going to school full time to be able to get his degree...and he did it!

Thanks to numerous fees and other unforeseen expenses, Stephen decided not to walk. After calling Boise State to let them know of his decision, they thanked him for the information and told him that he would receive his diploma in the mail in February.

February.

Congrats, Stephen Post. We care enough to send you your diploma after 2 months...ish.

Go-Getter Stephen

Stephen has set an amazing goal for himself. He is training to run a marathon in Ogden, UT in May 2011. Just in case you do not know that is 26.2 miles.

26.2 MILES!

Crazy.

He has set his mind on it and is literally "running" towards his goal.

The turning moment came last Saturday when he had to run his furthest yet, 13 miles. Due to a family outing Stephen was forced to run after dark. At 7pm.

Stephen ran 13 miles at my parent's farm in just above freezing temperatures. Rain. Wind. Mud. AND leftover dirty snow.

Stephen.

I love you.

You are going to make it to this marathon and run 26.2 miles.

Worst. Parents. Ever.

Last night the unthinkable happened.

I laid Maycee on her back on the floor after feeding her last night while Stephen and I were watching T.V. We became enthralled in a funny commercial. After our attention was drawn away from Maycee for 10 seconds, we looked down and realized that something had changed...

MAYCEE WAS ON HER STOMACH!!!!

Stephen and I missed a monumental milestone in our child's life because of a stupid commercial.

I'm never watching T.V. again.

Holy Hannah!

Watch this. You won't be disappointed.

Maycee & Daddy Photo Shoot

...and Mom.

Maycee is so intrigued by the camera, but just won't smile in front of it. She's all smiles 'til she sees the camera. What's with that?

Maycee Food

Maycee had her first try of something on a spoon. I don't know that I would really call it food because rice cereal smells awful. I wasn't even brave enough to try the stuff, but I gave it to Maycee. This was her reaction.

She really wasn't that big of a fan, but she didn't cry! She would open her mouth and then push the food out with her tongue. Her expression was of complete disgust. Poor girl. It'll still be a while before she gets good food.

Stephen Loves Me

Stephen and I had an exchange a few nights ago. This is how it went down.

Me: "Do you love me?"

Stephen: "Yes."

Me: "How much do you love me?"

Stephen: "...I love you so much that if the largest animal..."

Me: "The Blue Whale"

Stephen: "...the blue whale swallowed you...I would come and dig you out with a spoon. That's how much I love you!"

As you can see Stephen loves me very much.
