Baby what?

I should have posted this a month ago when it happened, but I didn't. It'll just be a month late. I cannot pass up this opportunity to let everyone see through the eyes of Stephen.

Stephen laid his head on my stomach. He turned his head so his lips were on my tummy. He then whispered this, "Baby! Are you a boy or a girl?"

Stephen lifted his head off of my stomach and his eyes were very big. He said, "It's a puppy!"

Hello everyone, we are having a puppy!

Visiting the Mid-Wife

Last Thursday was my third doctor's appointment. Just to give a little update...

Doctor's appointment #1: January 14, 2010

I was officially declared to be 9 weeks and 6 days along. We'll say 10. As I lay on that very comfortable bed, we got to hear our baby's heart beat for the very first time! It was so weird...I couldn't believe that there was actually a real living person inside of me! Stephen's first question to the doctor was, "Is it twins?" Tehe.

Doctor's appointment #2: February 11, 2010

At almost 14 weeks I had to give blood. Oh I hate needles, BUT that vampire lady sure did a good job. Stephen even held my purse the whole time. He will never admit that.

Doctor's appointment #3: March 11, 2010

At almost 18 weeks I definitely have a baby growing inside of me. My tummy is getting bigger! I had to go to see the mid-wife by my lonesome...poor Kami!!! The exciting news is that we have our ultra-sound in one week from today! And yes we are going to look. I really haven't even had time to think if I want to know what we are having yet. Stephen is SO excited that he cannot wait another moment.

We went to a wedding this weekend and there was a couple that was two days ahead of us. They already knew what they were having. Stephen was appalled. He did not understand why we didn't know. March 23. Hopefully I will have access to the Internet to spread my wonderful news. We are all putting up bets as to what we think we are having. AAHHHHH, I'm so excited!

Grrr....

I really want to blog. I have a ton of things that I need to write! My computer has now been busted for two weeks. I never realized how attached I am to my Internet. How do I pay my bills? How do I do my church calling that has a lot of things on my e-mail? How do I keep up with my blog? How do I not get frustrated when I finally get to a computer and I have 20 bajillion e-mails?

I feel so old school now that I have to go the library or my sisters to use the Internet.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS...MY FRIEND!!!

Stephen had his last basketball game last night. It was the best game to watch them play. They really kind of beat on the other guys, but you could tell that they were all just having a blast out there playing their hearts out. Great season guys! Congratulations to the Dharma Initiative. (Yes, that was really their team name. Stephen thought of it. If you don't understand this you are missing out on a whole new world.)

On a funny side note, I just have to mention this one little thing.

As I got to the basketball game, I lumbered to my seat on the top row and sat down. Stephen's boss, who we are really good friends with, came in a couple of minutes after us. He asked if I would hold his keys and cell phone. I said yes. As he walked away, a little boy walked up to me and said, "Is he your friend or is he your life? And by life, I mean married."

I tried really hard not to laugh and pointed at Stephen, "Nope he's my friend, I'm married to that one."

The little boy jumped down the bleachers until he was right next to Stephen and yelled up to me, "This one in the green shirt!"

"Yep, that one."

You got that right, Stephen is my life.

Murder, She Wrote

On Saturday we were invited to attend a murder mystery party with some friends in our ward. When I was in college my roommates and I hosted a party and it was a ton of fun. I as SO excited to get to do another one.

The party was entitled "'Til Death Do Us Part". The premise was that a bride, after her wedding, but before her reception, was murdered. The eight people in our party were given characters to play to figure out who killed the bride. I was the step-sister of the bride and Stephen was the father of the groom. Other characters were the groom, a wedding singer, a co-hort of the bride, BFF of the groom, wedding planner, and ex-lover of the groom.

The evening was set up as a dinner party and we all had parts to play and information to slowly leek out about the other players until we finally had to accuse. It was a blast and we had so much fun. Thanks Jodi and Kelly! We had a great time and your friends were a blast!
