Maycee pix

She loves to flick these door stops. It is hilarious when I hear those things "go off" in another room. I know Maycee is being entertained.

Maycee sits in her highchair with her toes on top of the table.

She loves to chew on the buckles in her car seat. This is a regular position that I see her in.

This little girl also loves to lick the oven. Weird.

Birthday P.S.

On June 25th at about 8:30 in the morning my phone rang.

However, I did not hear it until my phone beeped saying that I had a voicemail.

This is the message that I received:

Kory's Voice, "This message was left June 24, 2011 at 11:59 pm...BEEP...Kami! Happy Birthday. Wooo!!! We'll talk to you later. Good-Bye!"

Yeah...he totally forgot my birthday.

The Birthday Swap

Stephen's birthday is six days before mine.

My birthday is six days after Stephen's.

This year we switched birthdays.

It was weird. BUT it was fun to try once. Just once.

Stephen made me breakfast in bed and changed Maycee's diapers all day. We had a picnic in the park and went to the Morrison Knudsen Nature Center.

Stephen got me the coolest present ever. An antique croquet set. It rained all afternoon. I didn't get to play until Sunday.

Here is an official invitation to anyone who wants to play croquet with us. I will whoop up in you. Unless I don't. Because I'm not that good.

Here are some pictures of us at the park.

Stephen's birthday also brought breakfast. AND we went to a park for lunch. Park lunches are definitely going to be a tradition. Red Robin for dinner and we were set.

I love our birthdays together.

I quote

I have to post this.

I laughed so hard that I started to cry.

Stephen received a birthday card in the mail from my parents and Karli the other day. Every year that Stephen and Shane get a card, they give my dad a rough time because he is the worst speller in the world. I'm not kidding.

Here is what my dad said, written exactly as was on the card.

"Stephen you are awsom good looking physically fit just an amazing human speciman you remind me alot of me except you know how to spell Love ya Dad"

Come to find out he asked my mom how to spell almost every word of that "sentence" except for awesome. Because he knew how to spell that.

Well, at least he spelled Stephen's name right this year.

Happy Father's Day

This Father's Day Maycee and I woke up at 6 am to make Daddy breakfast.

Let me rephrase that. Maycee woke up at 6, therefore I had to get out of bed and entertain/feed her because it was Father's Day.

We made Daddy eggs, hash browns, toast, and orange juice. His favorite.

Church starts at 10:40 and is right across the street, so there was no real hurry to get ready. And I fell asleep. At 8:30. I just got my Sunday nap in before church.

While I was sleeping, Maycee and Daddy had fun with the camera.

When I woke up, I got in the shower. When I got out this is what I found.

They were bushed from their morning adventures.

TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, STEPHEN!!! You are an amazing Dad. Maycee loves you! She is always excited to see you when you get home from work. You take such good care of us. Thank you for being our perfect man.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Softball Debut

Krystal is a softball player.

She loves softball...and is very good at it.

I kind of volunteered to play as a substitute in one of Krystal's leagues. She plays in at least four. I play in none. Because I stink. Bad.

I thought that it might be fun.

I played second base. In real terms it means that I looked around while the short stop and 1st base covered my back. And covered they did. A lot. I had no idea what I was doing.

Stephen got a few pictures of me doing what I did during most of the game.

Yep. I stood around.

I tried to look like I knew what I was doing so that the other team wouldn't see me as the girl who they could use as the secret member of their team. Luckily they didn't notice because the team that I was on was too busy kicking their trash.

My claim to fame, however, is that I hit the ball twice. With a bat that was in my hands. AND I got on base! I even got walked once. Wahoo!

I can feel a new talent coming on.

Piggys

We tried pigtails for the very first time today. They are very difficult to see because there are just teensy tiny wisps of hair in her rubber bands, but she is SO cute! I cannot get enough of her. I took millions of picture of her today.

This is when she started waving for the camera. She is such a poser. I love this little girl!

Mommy wanted a picture with Maycee too!

My sleepy girl

Maycee fell asleep in her high chair today. She was that tired...I had only given her four bites! She was out.

Love

In the last four days, Stephen has loaded and unloaded the dishwasher THREE times.

I love my man!

The Music Girl

Maycee loves music. She stops squirming and wiggling when she hears singing or any kind of music. She loves to play the piano and has now obviously picked up the guitar. This little girl is going to Juilliard.

My sister is crazy.

Krystal really wanted to start her motorcycle, which we lovingly call "the hog", on Sunday. Shane, Stephen, and Krystal took turns trying to kick start it for at least 20 minutes.

It wasn't happening.

Krystal's brilliance exceeded us all.

The hog was tied to the bumper of the Nissan. The Nissan proceeded down our subdivision road at 10 mph with Krystal and the hog in toe.

Krystal's bumper almost didn't survive.

The boat is what finally cured the hog's long sleep.

The boat is Shane's sturdy Dodge Dynasty.

After the hog was started, much fun ensued. Check out this wheelie.

Perusing

Stephen and I were going through his junk e-mail in hopes of locating a missing e-mail that we have been eagerly awaiting.

No luck.

However, in our search we found some very useful e-mails entitled:

"Asian Singles"

"Senior Dating"

"Jewish Singles"

etc.

Those were the tame ones.

I really wonder if there is a way in which these "spammers" choose their victims. Is it by lottery? How creative the e-mail address? Or quite possibly is it the amazingly hot photo attached to my husbands e-mail?

Well spammers, I have something to say to you. Stephenpost13@gmail.com is NOT single and is certainly not looking for a suitable "65 and older" companion.

Thanks.

New Things

1. My daughter makes farting noises with her mouth...then laughs. It is the happiest day of my life!

2. Maycee can clap her hands. However, she never does these "cool tricks" on command.

3. Waving "bye bye". This is SO fun! There have been a few times that she does it in the perfect moment. It just makes me do the mom "ah" thing. It really is ridiculous the crazy things that make me so proud!

4. She constantly jabbers. The funny part is that she while she is "talking" she waggles her tongue in her mouth. It is hilarious. You'll just have to take my word for that one.

5. Maycee is so close to walking. Everyone tells me to dread the day she walks. Honestly, I don't really see a difference in walking and crawling, except for the fact that you have to child proof higher. Go Maycee, go!

6. My child eats wood chips. I have two plants in my house and she loves them. She is very fast at crawling to them, climbing up on them, and then inserting the dirt and wood chips in her mouth. I am getting good at fishing them out.

Moto

This weekend we went to Hagler Canyon to try out the motorcycles. We also got to try Dad and Mom's amazing dutch oven cooking. We ate like kings! Potatoes, chicken, and baked beans...mmmm. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Here are some fun pictures from the day.
...yes. This is Stephen trying to eat Dexter...

Krystal was teasing Buster. She really wanted that chicken. She kept giving Krystal "the look".

Buster won.

Yes, Emmett rides motorcycles. If he had his choice he would ride a motorcycle everywhere. I don't think that he understands how big he is.

Dad's awesome napping position.

Maycee had a lot of fun in the mountains. She loves to be outside. She was so mellow! That is really rare.

Thanks everyone for the super fun day! We enjoyed it thoroughly.
