Oliver's 9 Month Checkup

These stats are so baffling.  They don't even make sense, but I still write them for posterities sake...

Stats:
19 lbs - 31st Percentile
28 in - 20th Percentile

I had to fill out a huge questionnaire before taking Ollie in for his checkup.  It was really interesting the things I had to do with him to figure out where he was at as far as his abilities were concerned.  For example, I had to find out if he banged two toys together when he played.  He does.  I also had to find out if he knew how to drink from a cup.  Had never tried that with a kid that young.  He can.

So, basically, my kid can do everything except for move.  Like crawl.  I'm kinda to the point where I need this kid to crawl.  That way every time he is "playing" with Maycee and Cooper, he doesn't cry when they leave the room.

Come on Ollie!  You can do it!!

He is so wriggly that I'm surprised he hasn't done so yet!

Fun Kids.

The last few weeks have been quite crazy.  I've been subpar in the mothering piece of my life.  Today we remedied that.  We've played all morning.  Sidewalk chalk.  Biking.  Hide and seek.  Popcorn on a picnic blanket.  I am now Super Mom.

Fun things about the kiddos.

Cooper calls his swimming suit a swim soup.

Maycee and Cooper "freeze" each other.  They hold there hands out, make a funny noise, and then say to the other one that they are frozen.  Yesterday Maycee was having none of it.  After yelling numerous times at Cooper to "stop freezing me!"  She said, "Cooper, you don't have frozen power!"

Oliver loves to watch the kids run around the island in the kitchen.  He gets squirmy, smiley, and giggly. I love it.

Cooper calls pineapple, kiapple.  "More kiapple, Mom!"

Oliver can scoot backwards.  Kind of.  Either on his bottom or on his tummy.

In most of Maycee's prayers she says, "bless me to move to Middleton."  She seems genuinely excited to move.

Oliver can clap!

Life moves.

Earlier this month Stephen and I purchased land out in Middleton.  We didn't expect to be out there for one more year.  We're not even beginning to build the house until March of next year.

Things just worked out that we are moving.

Now.

We put our house up for sale last Thursday.

On Thursday we had one showing and then one offer.  On Friday we had three showings and two more offers.

We sold our house on day two for more than asking price.

According to one of the members of our ward, "God really wants you guys out of our ward!"

This is a really weird feeling.

Stephen loves change.  I'm not a fan.  We've been talking about moving for two years and it just wasn't right.  You could feel it.  It's now time.

We're moving into a rental in a month in Middleton.

And I'm not freaking out.

On a more serious note, I know that Heavenly Father has helped us every step along the way.  We set our path in this direction seven months ago and He has been helping us the entire way.  We feel so blessed.

Call Family Vacation....Just because MOM refuses to call it a family reunion.

WE WENT TO McCALL!!  Love that place.

We got up to the camp site really late on Wednesday night.  Around midnight.  So Stephen and I just pulled everything out of the car and slept in the back.  We were pretty squished back there.  We even gave Cooper to Grandpa and we were still crammed.  I slept pretty well, though!

This year was Kelsey & Nathan's year.  So we started the vacation off in Taysom style.

Taysom style started Thursday morning as we hiked to our first adventure.

Rock climbing.

When we got to the mountain, Dad was a little too impatient to wait for the ropes and harnesses.  He scrambled up that mountain with his fingers and toes.

Showoff.

This was the cutest thing.  Krystal is Maycee's music teacher in primary and Krystal practices with her a lot.  Here they are all singing 'Families Are of God' with the sign language.

Stephen's hike up.

Mom's hike up.

Kiddos giving it a crawl.

Stephen was starting to get a little nervous at this point.  Maycee was going on her own and didn't want to come back...don't worry, she got down eventually; unharmed. :)

After rock climbing we had lunch, then packed up our campsite and headed to the 2nd campsite a little closer to McCall.  That afternoon we ended up at the local ice cream hot spot.

Yum.  Good stuff.

Thursday night came.  And we slept.

The next morning we were up early.  At least my tent was up early.  That early sunrise and my kiddos...

...Why is it SO difficult to get little kids to ALL look at the camera at the same time!!

This picture cracks me up.  Lexi was screaming her head off while Stephen was trying to make her happy.  He was unsuccessful.

We found a beach.  Maycee bulldozed right into the water to show off her mad swimming skills.  Then she got out and wanted to be held in a towel for the next hour.  So, I improvised.  Check out my amazing sand molding skills!  Maycee makes such a cute, clothed mermaid.

That afternoon Dad blew up his intensive raft and we floated out and goofed around.

Here is Stephen teaching my mom how to do a back flip.

Krystal and I had a conversation with my mom not too long ago.  She asked why we had so many ridiculous pictures of her.  Well, Mom.  You give us so many opportunities!

Twinners!

That night we stayed up way too late goofing off and playing games.  We had lots of fun though!

The next morning we packed up and headed home.

Thanks for a fun weekend, Kelsey and Nathan!!
