Conversation

Kami: Maycee who is cooler, Mommy or Daddy?

Maycee: Mommy

Stephen: Who is your best friend, Mommy or Daddy?

Maycee: JOVIE!

...Jovie is Maycee's friend that lives down the street.  Apparently we aren't as awesome as Jovie.  But at least I rank higher than Daddy.

Cutie Pictures

I am really bothered by the fact that I didn't catch this error before I took these pictures.  But, in my defense we took the pictures with our point and shoot that I know nothing about.  After looking at the originals on the computer we realized that the camera was set to 'poster mode'...whatever that is.  I tried to fix the pictures the best I could, but when the original is messed up you kinda don't have a chance.

Anyway, here are the pictures that we were supposed to take last Sunday, but because of Stephen's two meetings, temple recommend interviews, and choir practice all before church, they didn't happen until today.

Well.

Here goes nothin':

I LOVE THESE KIDS!  Even though they drive me crazy. :)

Christmas Break

Stephen always tries to take off work between Christmas and New Years.  This year was a success.  It has been so much fun to have Stephen around!  We have done so much together and cleaned a lot of the house.  We feel accomplished.  Stephen is also really good at taking pictures of the kiddos, so here are our three cuties!

I worked my tail off on these stinkin' capes.  That is the reason I was up so late on Christmas Eve and Christmas Eve Eve.  They are even reversible!  Cooper's has one side that is Superman and one side that is Batman.  Maycee has one side that is a princess crown and the other is Superman.  They have worn these capes a total of 30 seconds since they got them.  The photo shoot.  I'm a little miffed.

Conversations between Stephen and Maycee

Stephen: Maycee, on a scale of 1 to 10, how happy would you say you are?

Maycee: 2!

...

Stephen: Maycee what is your favorite quality about yourself?

Maycee: Uummmm, paint!

Ollie

I forgot to post the cutest picture of Oliver!!!

I dropped Stephen off at work with Oliver in tow, while I went grocery shopping by my lonesome...:)  All of Stephen's co-workers had a riot with him.  We got an awesome picture out of it though!

The caption to the picture said, "Oliver at work."

Christmas

Wow.  I love Christmas.  However, it has been I-N-S-A-N-E!  On the night of the 23rd we were up until 12:30am and the 24th we were up until 1:30am.  Future reference...have all sewing projects finished and presents wrapped before Christmas Eve.

Anyway.

On Christmas Eve we dropped Maycee and Cooper off at a friends house while we went to his work party with Oliver.  This is Stephen's fourth year creating a video for their Christmas party.  He really is talented.  I was crying through the whole thing because I was laughing so hard.  It might be funnier if you know the people, but I couldn't get enough of it!

At 4:00 we met at Stephen's parents' house for some good food.  We snuck off for a minute to facetime my family and watch Karli open her mission call.  She is going to Macon, Georgia.  While she opened her mission call you could tell that she was getting emotional.  I'm sure everyone else was, but she was only one we could see.  I started crying, just realizing what was going to happen to her.  She's going to have the experience of a lifetime.

Maycee received a plush Snow White doll that was about a foot tall from Grandma and Grandpa Post.  It was so funny to watch her with that thing.  She drug it everywhere.  With little cousin Avery traipsing after her to hopefully lift the doll off of Maycee....it was really funny to watch.  I talked to Maycee and asked her if she could share her doll with Avery for a couple of minutes.  It was really cute to watch her give it to Avery.  It was a proud Mommy moment, but it only lasted about 30 seconds as she ripped the doll out of Avery's hands proclaiming that her time was up.

We hung out at the in-laws for a few hours with Stephen's sisters' families and then headed off to do our own tradition that started, um, now.  We gave the kids a Christmas Eve box.  The box had pajamas, a new Christmas book, 'The Christmas Orange', a Mickey's Christmas Carol, and popcorn.  We got the kiddos in their pajamas, read our book, popped popcorn, and watched our movie.

I think watching Mickey's Christmas Carol, and then a few nights before watching a Muppets Christmas Carol really confused Maycee.  As we put her to bed that night, she asked if ghosts were going to come visit tonight.  Poor girl.  I think I set her straight.

On Christmas morning, Stephen made it so the kids couldn't come out of their rooms without us coming to grab them.  6:45am came super early as we heard the kiddos knocking on their door.  We'd only slept for about five hours.

Before we went in to see if Santa had come, we set up out Little People Nativity and we acted out the story of Baby Jesus with the Little People.  I kinda botched the story.  We're going to have to work on that one.

Santa Claus came!  It was really funny to watch the kids.  They were most excited for the Mr. & Mrs. Potato Heads, Cooper's cars, and Maycee's my little pony's.  That afternoon Stephen and I took a nap with Oliver and Cooper.  I couldn't even tell you what Maycee did.  After nap time, we bundled up and headed off to find some snow.

Maycee and Cooper got Cheetos in their stockings.  They are addicted to those things.

We found a park in Meridian that still had some snow, so we bundled up to play.  Stephen started off with Maycee and Cooper while I fed Oliver.

Isn't he cute!

And he has cute shoes!

Stephen ran all over the place with those kids in the sled.  It was so fun to watch.

We had so  much fun at the park!  We basically had that place to ourselves.

That night we had hot chocolate and soup.  I love my little family!

Merry Christmas!!
