Crawling & Donuts

Oliver now crawls like a normal child.

Not only does he crawl like a normal child, but he has figured out how to go down the stairs.

GO OLLIE!!

Today I asked Maycee, "What is a rule?"

"A rule is a circle.  Just like a donut.  With sprinkles on it."

I wish that she was right.

Primary Program #1

Today was Maycee's first primary program.

Even though we moved to Middleton over a month ago, we decided to continue to go to the Blue Meadows Ward until the primary program.  We really wanted Maycee to participate with the primary she has been with all year.  AND my sister was the primary chorister.

The Sunbeams, Maycee's class, sang 'I Love To See The Temple' all by themselves.  They had a microphone in front of them and it was stuck directly in front of Maycee.  Honestly, she didn't need it.  She was that loud.  But she was the only one that really sang, so I guess we know why the microphone was in front of her...

As they continued with their other songs, the microphone continued to stay on for two more songs. Maycee was amplified.  Literally.  After the microphone was finally turned off, everyone could still hear Maycee.  You could tell when she got distracted and not singing and then when she would all of the sudden start singing again.

This primary program was one of my favorites.  Not only because I had a child participating, but because they only had six children speak.  They had chosen kids whose talks in primary the primary presidency had liked and then the kids expanded on them and they each spoke for a minute and a half.  It was amazing!  I loved that they had a message and not just each kid speaking one line.

I LOVE the primary program!!

Good Throw

Ollie is very good at throwing balls.  He climbs up the stairs, army crawls into his room, grabs balls or other miscellaneous items, army crawls back to the stairs, sits up, throws things down the stairs.

He giggles profusely and bounces while he watches things bounce down the stairs.

Today I caught him crawling up the stairs while holding a ball.  He was ready to throw as soon as he got to the top that time.

Date Night...for the kiddos.

Tonight Stephen took Maycee on a date.  We've decided that kiddo date nights start when they turn three.  Not yet three-year-old Cooper is pitching a fit.  We had to improvise.

Cooper had a date with Mommy tonight!  We played blocks.  With Ollie.  Cooper loves blocks.  He's building very well with the Legos.

This is what happens at 5pm when Cooper refuses to take a nap.

Don't worry.  I ate his cornbread.

Long Long Hay Ride

Yesterday, Stephen got off work early so we could go to a local pumpkin patch to do hay rides and pick pumpkins.  I looked all over their website for prices and couldn't find any.  We got to the farm and found that it would cost our family of 5 over $30 to just do the hayride.

We decided that hayrides were overrated.  We just took pictures around the place and called it good.

Now I still need to go get pumpkins.

It is rough trying to get two kids to look and smile.

It is impossible with three.

Random Pictures

This is what happens when Cooper decides to play before he takes his nap.

Oliver's FIRST oreo.

I think he liked it.

What does Mom do?

Yesterday we went to meet Stephen for lunch at his work.

Stephen was a little pressed for time, but we still got to see him!

While we were together, Stephen asked Maycee a very important question, "What does Mommy do while I am at work?"

Maycee replied, "She does the dishes and she climbs trees."

I have no idea where the tree thing came from.

Last night Maycee ended up on our floor at 2 am.  Stephen carried her back to her bedroom.  She said, "Daddy, why did we park here?"

Apparently she sleep talks.

Articulate

Tonight Cooper and I had a very well versed conversation.  He is still 2, but he speaks so well!  After our 'conversation' I said, "Cooper, you are getting so articulate!"

Cooper replied, "NO, I not tic-u-what!  You tic-u-what."

Well.

There you have it.

Play Date at the Mall

We met Krystal and Lexi in Boise yesterday to hang out and shop.  Because shopping is ridiculous with small children we ended up at the mall playground.

Kiddo pictures.

These were DIFFICULT to take.

Only semi got three.

Kinda.
