I keep forgetting to post this...this is entertaining...
About a week before Maycee was born at 10:30pm, 15 minutes after we had gone to bed, we heard the chirp of our fire alarm. Not warning us of a fire, but squawking that the battery was low. Refusing to get out of bed, we both ignored it and fell asleep.
The next morning as I was sending Stephen off to work, the alarm was still going. We found out where the noise was coming from. This particular fire alarm happened to be at the tallest point of our ceiling. We have vaulted ceilings and no ladder. Being almost nine months pregnant, Stephen told me to leave the alarm alone until he could fix it when he got home that night.
The alarm stopped chirping at 8am that morning. Stephen and I completely forgot about our alarm until it started going off again that night at 10:30. Again, being in bed, we ignored it.
This round about chirp kept going until the day we brought Maycee home from the hospital.
This is how Stephen figured out how to solve the problem.
It's a good thing Stephen is not a construction worker. If we was, OSHA would definitely be chasing him down...Just in case you can't tell, that is an old trunk turned on its side with a bar stool standing on top.
