Cooper Passed!

Well. I am dead.

We had a group date night on Friday. SO. MUCH. FUN. Stephen picked a good group of people this go around.  They were hilarious! However, on the flip side, most of them were night owls and we were partying 'til midnight.  Seriously.  I can't remember the last time I stayed up past midnight. I am still trying to recoup.

This week Maycee started spring soccer! Unfortunately, I was not able to go to her two practices this week. Eight month pregnant woman is dead after noon.

We received a phone call from our endocrinologist this week that said Cooper passed his test on his pituitary gland, which means that his growth hormone is alive and well. The nurse on the phone said they now wanted to discuss Cooper's lactose intolerance to see if that is effecting his growth...I'm a little leery about that...haven't found anything thus far that connects lactose with growth.

The kids are all super excited for this baby to get here.  A common phrase in our house, from a little person, is (in your whiniest voice) "Mom, When is baby Easton going to come out?!"  So fun.  I am glad they are excited.

I have to share a talk that I found with all of you.  It is amazing! It changed my thought process. "The Challenge of Becoming" by Elder Oaks in October 2000 conference.  Great talk!

Daylight Savings

Holy Hannah....did anyone else forget about daylight savings today?

Maycee and I went on a date to watch the high school perform Beauty and the Beast.  We got home at 10:15pm.  Stephen had Maycee's pj's all laid out for her and put her to bed.  He said, "I just changed all the clocks.  We need to go to bed. It is going to be an early morning."  The clock said 11:30.  What?!  Yeah, poor planning on my part.  Maycee loved the musical, but every time the beast would come out and he was going to yell, Maycee would get on the floor at my feet and plug her ears.  Poor girl!

Cooper Funny

I had some sugar snap peas sitting on the counter today.

Maycee LOVES them.  She keeps going back for more.

Cooper has never eaten one of these snacks.  After watching Maycee happily eat one, Cooper came over to ask what Maycee was eating.  "Sugar snap peas", I replied.  Cooper asked for one, then walked out of the kitchen while biting his first sugar snap pea.  Within 2 seconds, Cooper had turned back around and spit the green contents out of his mouth and into his hand. "Mom, this is gross sugar," he said as he threw it in the garbage.

Cooper Birthday #4

I cannot believe that Cooper is 4.  This is so weird.  It's not that I don't feel like we've had him for four years, so much, as it is the fact that my number two child is four.  Time flies when you are having fun, I guess.   ;)

I really love birthdays.  Actually, I love any reason to do something off of the norm and enjoy each other.  Cooper is a HUGE sugar addict.  So I figured for his birthday I would just give in and let him enjoy...sugar!  I found this super cute, old school, candy shop in Eagle near Stephen's work.  We would get Stephen at his work around 3 and then go to the candy shop and let the kids go nuts.

Well.

This candy shop has apparently been closed for quite some time.  CURSE THE INTERNET AND IT'S FALSE INFORMATION!!!!  We ended up going to Aspen Leaf, a knock off of U-Swirl, that also had a Rocky Mountain Chocolate.  We bought three bowls of frozen yogurt and two caramel apples.  We were sugared up.  I shared an ice cream with Cooper.  It was dairy free.  Because it was Cooper's birthday, he got to pick everything that went into the chocolate custard.  He chose gummy bears, swedish fish, reeses pieces, and strawberries.

Gross.

Cooper, this is how you know that I love you.  I shared that disgusting chocolate custard with you.

Here is, apparently, Cooper's happy face.

Then we went to the park.

And here is Oliver's new found love of swings.  He hates these things.  Stephen really wanted to show everyone his reaction.  Poor kid.

Funniest. Thing. Ever.  Watching Stephen and my mom on the teeter-totter.  Stephen was going as high and as fast as he could.  Then he was bucked off.

My dad took a go of it and Stephen was, again, bucked off.

And here is Cooper's Captain America cake.  These things are so much fun to do!!  I was pretty proud of my cake this time.

Singing happy birthday.  I LOVE this picture.  Cooper was trying not to blow out the candles while we were singing to him.  Love that boy!!

My birthday boy!!!  He is now FOUR!!!!!

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Call and Grandma and Grandpa Post for the Cooper gifts and for coming to celebrate Cooper's day.
