We have officially moved in.
Moving was quite a feat. Let me tell you.
Our dear landlords for our rental held out for SOOOO long. We are SO grateful that they were helpful and willing to work with us. When we first moved in to the rental, we told our landlords that our house would be finished around the end of July to August.
Well.
Our hole was dug six weeks late.
Then more delays started to happen.
Our landlords wanted to sell the house in the summer of 2015.
The house we were building was no where near being completed by the end of August. The completion date kept getting further and further from sight. Finally, we told the landlords that they could put the house on the market and we would figure out whatever we needed to figure out. Including moving to another location before our house was completed.
Our landlords put the rental on the market the beginning of September. It sold within 24 hours. While we were out of town. Honestly, that was a HUGE blessing. I didn't know how I would manage keeping another house immaculate while having three rambunctious kids.
After talking to the landlords, we told them we would be out of the house (no matter what) by October 26th.
SO.
We were out of the house on October 26th, but we ended up in a hotel near Stephen's work.
It was a blessing for us not to have to split up, as was originally a part of the plan, but I went CRAZY in a one room hotel room with three little people.
We pushed our builders to the max.
We ended up moving into the house while we still had people showing up to work on their projects. I didn't even care.
We moved in on October 30th.
It was heaven.
If I enter a hotel to stay within the next 5 years, it will be too soon.
Here is some lovely Ollie photos as he has found a new play toy.
