What Maycee can do.
There are so many things that she does. I love being her mom.
1. Maycee snorts. She snorts when she laughs, she snorts when it's really quiet in church, she snorts when she is tired. She is a snorter. Yes, I just made that word up.
2. Maycee has buff abs. Every time I lay her on her back, she lifts her head up really high like she is doing crunches. It's fun to tickle her tummy when she does that. She giggles really hard, but still tries to lift up her head. When I try to sit her up, she folds in half.
3. Maycee is a thumb sucker. Crap. I know. Not really looking forward to breaking that habit...oh well. When I breast feed her she sticks her thumb in her mouth while she's eating. I think it's hilarious, but I pull her thumb out and say, "You can only have one of them!"
4. Maycee also loves sucking on all of her other fingers. She is a very quiet eater, but a very loud finger sucker.
5. Maycee loves to talk. My favorite is when she is in her carseat in the backseat talking to herself. She does it until she falls asleep.
6. Maycee grunts. A lot.
7. Maycee blows bubbles. It is fun to watch her learn different things. Sometimes, she will grab my fingers, put them in her mouth and blow on them.
8. Maycee has now found her toes and sucks on them regularly.
9. Maycee holds your face in her hands and brings you in close to her face...then she sucks on your nose. It really is quite cute.
I think that this was just a post to show off all of Maycee's cute pictures. I LOVE this little girl. Enjoy!

Ringing in the New Year
It is 2011.
I still write 2010.
Probably will until June.
On New Year's Eve, Stephen and I invited over his parents and siblings for a night of good food and games. We had a lot of fun!
We played a homemade version of catch phrase for almost three hours. It was that good.
It was hilarious watching everyone come up with actions to describe their words.
We made it 'til midnight.
Welcome 2011!
Christmas
This year I got the most sleep I have ever had on a Christmas Eve. We were downstairs going through Christmas stuff at 9am. Most of the time we are going through stockings at 5am. No joke.
My parents surprised us all this year by getting a XBOX360 Kinect. Yeah, who woulda thought...my parents?! So as we all see it, Mom and Dad love Karli most of all because she now has a Kinect AND a projector to have massive parties...
Good luck with that Mom and Dad.
Honestly, we had a ton of fun playing the Kinect with everyone. It was a massive workout! When I got done playing a few of the games, I was totally out of breath.
The icing on the cake was when our family friends, Bruce and Connie and their girls came over to play. Bruce's six-year-old daughter was kicking his trash when they were playing...did I mention that Bruce is a police officer?...Good times.
My most favoritest gift from Stephen was probably the least expensive. The reason I love it so much is because I know that it cost Stephen $10 out of his pocket, but probably cost thousands of dollars worth of manhood. He got me something I really wanted, but definitely did not expect. A night of dancing!
I am SO excited! I can hardly wait for the anticipated night.
Thank you Stephen and I love you!
Temple Square
You can totally tell that I am super cold because I am wearing my crazy 80's coat. Aren't we so cute together? I made sure that we still could see Maycee in the picture. (She's in the stroller. There's no way I was taking her out of that thing!)
That afternoon we went with Karli to do baptisms in the Salt Lake Temple. It was really fun to be with her and enjoy the spirit of the temple that the pioneers built by hand. Thanks for the fun Kar!

Water Bottle
My water bottle is bright green with white letters that say, "Boise OBGYN" on it.
Stephen has decided that he has as much right to the water bottle as I do. He drinks out of it as much as I do.
A few days ago I caught him drinking out of the water bottle and said, "You probably shouldn't drink out of that now because I've had a sore throat the last couple of days."
Stephen replied, "That's okay because I've had a sore throat for the last week."
Ggggrrrrrr. Guess where I got the sore throat from.
Piano Lessons
Wow.
I was SO nervous.
Yesterday was my second time teaching and it went well. I think that I am doing pretty good job! Yeah for the power of positive thinking!
I teach piano every Monday and 4:30.
Every Monday at 4:30 is now Daddy and Maycee time.
After the first lesson I went into Maycee's room and Daddy and Maycee were "taking a nap."
During the entire second lesson I could hear Maycee cooing the entire time. It was so cute! When I went in Maycee's room after the lesson to check on her and Stephen, I saw mass chaos. Her room had been taken apart. All of her toys were out. The rocking chair seat was pulled off and all of the boxes with her things in them had been pulled out of place.
Maycee and Stephen were laying on a pillow in the middle of the floor. Maycee looked up at me and gave me a big smile.
Stephen whispered, "Maycee! We're supposed to be pretending to be asleep!"
Stephen is such a good dad. They have a lot of fun together.
Raspberry Syrup
This year for Christmas, Stephen and I tried something new. We made raspberry syrup. Our hopes were high and our excitement level bursting. Honestly, raspberry syrup is that good.
Our excitement diminished with a little problem. In hopes of making TONS of syrup we bought TONS of syrup bottles...complements of Container and Packaging Supply. Bottles rock!
Our two and a half gallons of raspberries turned into eight and a half cups of syrup. So much for making tons of friends by giving away the deliciousness that is raspberry syrup...only a few people benefited.
I guess there is always next year.
There was, however, about a quarter cup of pure raspberry juice that we decided to inflict on the next person to grace us with their presence...but first we had to try it ourselves.
Shane was the first to fall upon our house. Under the pretense of free food, Shane came a galloping over. To finish off his meal he was offered a glass of juice. He just didn't realize what he was getting into.
Shane was too kind. He drank that stuff with not so much as a peep. We finally spoke up as to the liquid that he was ingesting.
"I was wondering why that stuff tasted so weird!"
He'll probably be leery as to the things he eats at our house now.
Year Three!
This morning Stephen woke me up with breakfast in bed and a love letter...I am the luckiest girl in the world! I LOVE YOU STEPHEN!!!
10 Things I Love About You
1. hUmOR - You always make me laugh. Even if sometimes I hold it in to make you think that I didn't think it was funny...
2. Humility - Being the stubborn, ornery cuss that I am, Heavenly Father knew you were the only one that would handle my stubborn pride.
3. Smiley Eyes - You don't have boring "dead eyes".
4. Being a Dad - I LOVE watching you interact with Maycee. She loves you so much and you do everything that you can to be a great dad to her.
5. Testimony - You love Heavenly Father and you do your very best to follow His gospel.
6. Ears - You let me blab on and on and on and on and on about my "deep thoughts".
7. Attitude - You are always so positive! Even when I burn dinner, ruin your brownies, forget to wash your clothes, leave the house a mess, hand you a screaming baby when you get home, cry when I feel the world is ending...you always make it better.
8. Love - You love people. Genuinely.
9. Height - I love that you are 6' 3" and I am 5' and 5/16th of an inch. You are my protector.
