Paddle Boats in Downtown Boise

Our babysitter has been out of town for six l o n g weeks.  Last night we were hoping to have our long and awaited date night.  But apparently six weeks in Alaska was not good enough for their family.  They needed one more jaunt.  They were gone for another week in southern Utah.  So...our super cool date night turned into a family date night.

Oh well.

We had fun anyway!

Stephen had this amazing idea.  We went downtown and rented a paddle boat!  And fed the ducks!  And a goose.  The kids really enjoyed it.  Stephen even got home from work at 3:30.  That is super rare in our world right now.

Here are some cutie pictures to document our adventure.

Stephen kept trying to run over the ducks with the paddle boat when they would get in between our boat.  He succeeded once.  The duck seemed fine, but I still slugged him for it.

We even got one of the ducks to catch a piece of bread in his mouth!

Cool view paddling down the little stream.

Cooper kept eating the bread we would give him to feed the ducks.

We had a whole flock of them following us.  They really wanted bread.

Here's our goose.  Stephen tried really hard to run him over.  Maycee was getting upset.  That didn't stop him, but the goose was never run over.

After the paddle boats we went to Chick-fil-A.  Love that place.  The instant we drove into the parking lot and the kiddie slide was in view, Maycee started to scream.  "THAT SLIDE IT SO COOL!!!!"  I really wish I could spell accurately how Maycee says 'cool'.  It's so cute.
