Happy Birthday!

My parents had a hard time figuring out what to get their grown children and spouses for their birthdays, so they decided a couple of years ago to get us a fun trip to Salt Lake City together.  We've gone every year for the past four years.  Here's our trip from this year.

Stephen and I, along with the kiddos, drove to the farm on Thursday night when Stephen got home from work.  On Friday morning we headed down to SLC and met my Uncle Keoki and Aunt Kristy at their local Kneaders for lunch.  After lunch we crashed at their house for a couple of hours.  They have the coolest basements ever.  It was unfinished and full of fun toys for little kids and 'big' kids.

Here is Stephen and Cooper on the drum set!

Air Hockey!  Kory, Karli, and Dad.

Indoor trampoline.  Charisse, Boston, and Maycee.

Upstairs Oliver and Lexi were chillin'.  This picture cracks me up.  Oliver is in mid sneeze.  Also in big news, Oliver rolled over for the first time at Uncle Keoki's!  Go Ollie!

Love this pic.  Kory totally set them up.

Downstairs again!  Maycee.  They also had one of these cars in pink.  Maycee kept going back and forth between the two.  They also had at least 4 wiggle cars that we were cruising all over the place on.  SO much fun!  I didn't get any pictures of those.

Karli and Maycee trying their hand at the drums.

AND as true to form, we headed over to the temple to see the lights and it was freezing!!!  What the heck.  Every year we see the lights and I just want to be inside.  TOO COLD!!

After temple square we headed to our main event...HOCKEY!!!!  Wow.  Now that is an intense full contact sport.  Way more so than football.  We really wanted to see an all out brawl, but it didn't happen.  Super close to one in the third period.

Honestly, I spent most of the third period in the bathroom with Cooper's diaper and then Oliver's blowout of the century.  It was awful.  I've never seen either of the other two create such a mess as he did during the hockey game.  Shane told me that I should just throw out his clothes.  I refuse.  I just got them as a gift and they're SO cute!  He even had two layers on.

We got to the hotel super late, so we put the kiddos to bed and Mom and Dad had pizza ordered to the hotel.

Maycee and Cooper slept awful.  We were originally going to have them sleep in the same bed, but they were so hyper and rambunctious that we had to separate them.  Stephen slept with Maycee and I slept with Cooper.

The next morning we swam in the cold pool.  At least everyone else did.  I sat in the hot tub.  No pictures though.

We checked out of the hotel with every intention to go to lunch in Ogden and then the girls would get pedicures while the guys watched the kiddos and went to Smith and Edwards.  While at lunch it started to snow.  A lot.  We ended up going our separate ways after lunch.  Let it snow!

Thanks Mom and Dad for such an awesome birthday present!  We love you!!!
